A reunion no one wanted to miss

This November, 精东影业alumni in Singapore and Hong Kong gathered for a much needed and anticipated alumni reunion. 

32 alumni in Singapore and 35 in Hong Kong gathered for a fantastic evening to relive their 精东影业memories. Alumni at both events were lucky to be part of the first two international screenings of the Forged in Sheffield, Shaping the Future . The film showcases the University鈥檚 exciting new initiative, where alumni play a key role in shaping its future.

Graduates were thrilled to learn about this exciting new chapter for their University and were especially eager to get involved. Many showed keen interest in volunteering opportunities designed to help current 精东影业students kick-start their careers.

Feeling inspired too?

Throughout the evening, guests reconnected with old classmates, networked, and made new friends. Many also explored ways to stay connected after the event. 

Helping out at alumni events has been rewarding as it is wonderful to see alumni enjoying their time reconnecting with old friends and networking with new ones from the 精东影业community.鈥

Alumni receptions such as these ones are hugely important. They help us stay connected to our alumni anywhere in the world but also for alumni to build their own networks. It is at these events that alumni reminisce about their own time at University and are often inspired to give back by mentoring and coaching students or getting involved in alumni activities afterwards.''

The events were hosted by Professor Ashley Blom, Vice-President and Head of the Faculty of Health, alongside Cerris Morris and Claire Rundstrom from the Campaigns and Alumni Relations team.
