Due to its central location, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµis very well connected to other cities and regions by rail – London can be reached in two hours, Manchester in 53 minutes and Leeds in 45 minutes.

The city is also served by two coach operators connecting ¾«¶«Ó°Òµto major destinations. Coaches can be caught from ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµInterchange or from Meadowhall Interchange which is a short tram, train or bus ride away.

From ¾«¶«Ó°Òµstation you can travel directly to the University’s main campus by tram, with journeys taking less than 10 minutes. To do this catch a blue route service from the tram stop at the station towards Malin Bridge. Trams run every 12 minutes.

If you fancy some fresh air it’s a 20 minute walk. Alternatively you can catch one of a number of buses from outside the station or across the road from ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµInterchange or you can hop in a taxi which will take around 10 minutes.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµis also well served by the national coach network and you can catch one from ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµInterchange or Meadowhall Interchange.

Coach travel

coaches serve ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµInterchange, which is located opposite the train station. Students holding a Young Persons' Coachcard can get a third off travel on National Express services.

and  coaches serve Meadowhall Interchange, four miles from ¾«¶«Ó°Òµcity centre. From Meadowhall you can catch a tram to the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ tram stop by traveling on the yellow route towards Middlewood. Alternatively you can catch a bus or train.
